Microsoft Teams with an Office 365 subscription is the latest version of Lync. Previous versions include Skype for Business 2016, Lync 2013, Lync 2010, and Lync 2007. Microsoft Teams is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7. The Microsoft® Lync® 2013 for Android app brings Lync presence, instant messaging (IM), and voice and video to your mobile device. With Lync 2013 for Android, you’ve got several ways to communicate, including IM, calling, or a video call using either Wi-Fi only or your cellular data connection when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.

  • If the user has enabled push notifications, Lync signs out after 10 days of inactivity.

  • If the user has not enabled push notifications, Lync signs out after 1 hour.

On iPhone and iPad, Lync signs out automatically if the user has not used the application for a period of time, as follows:

  • If the mobile client has not contacted the server for 10 days due to loss of network connectivity or other issues.
